In my years as a mother, doula, and childbirth educator I have come to question if informed consent truly exists, and not only in the realm of childbirth. Every choice that we make has pros and cons, but some definitely outweigh the other. As a woman who has experienced many different types of births, I found the following post incredibly interesting.

You've got to be kiddin'...no more American Eagle for me
I loved seeing this article http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/local_news/stories/2010/07/29/nursing-no-no.html.
It still irks me that the sexualization of breasts in media and advertising is considered acceptable by much of society but that a discretely breastfeeding woman is still seen as disgusting.

Adventures in blogging
I have been considering blogging for a while now. What pushed me to start today I cannot say. So many times in my life I have found myself in what I call "middle ground" - not too far right or too far left on any spectrum, but right in the middle. I consider myself a contemplative person, and I try considering both sides of an issue; hence, the name of my blog.
